We summarize North Carolina laws, permit rules and published cost figures as carefully as we can, and we name our sources. Laws, local permit practices and prices change, though, and the details of your home and contract matter. Check any rule with the office or statute named, and talk to a lawyer, your insurer or a licensed public adjuster for advice on your own situation.

Cost ranges, calculator results and quiz results are rough estimates based on published averages. They are not offers, bids or promises of what any roofer will charge.

Storm history on this site comes from official or named sources and describes past events only. It is not a statement that your roof has been damaged.

This site connects homeowners with independent local roofers. The site does no roofing work and is not a contractor. It holds no contractor license of its own. North Carolina requires a General Contractor license for jobs costing $40,000 or more, so check that license with the state Licensing Board before signing a contract of that size.
